Hello and welcome to another edition of the newsletter. This edition I'll discuss the ever-present PDF file format.
The Adobe software company created the PDF file format 25 years ago and now it's a standard document format like Microsoft's Office document file formats (i.e. .doc files). This means that if you send someone a PDF document they'll most likely be able to view it easily.
There are many free tools to view PDF files, to create PDF files and convert PDF files to .doc files. But without paying for software, it’s more complicated to do tasks within a PDF file such as editing, annotating, highlighting or adding notes.
The two solutions below are the best products available that I could find. Both require monthly subscriptions and both work for Mac and PC computers.
